Light It Up

Light It Up: Bringing Clean Power Energy
to East Nusa Tenggara

LIU1.png

A Daily Energy Struggle

More than 75,000 households in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) lacks access to electricity (Kompas.id, 2023).
In many villages, people walk over an hour just to charge a phone—stealing time from productivity and education. Kerosene lamps, the common alternative, consume up to half of a family's income and pose dangerous fire risks.

Light The Village Up

Together with Schneider Electric Indonesia, we’re making solar energy accessible in underserved NTT villages.
Our Mobiya and Homaya kits bring more than just light—they bring dignity, independence, and new possibilities for daily life.

Empowering Communities with Solar Power

Every household adopting solar energy will experience transformation in multiple areas

30

Hours of reduced monthly walking time for each villager to obtain electricity for charging phones

50%

of household income, previously spent on kerosene, is now completely saved through solar energy adoption

360

Kilograms of CO2 emission per year is prevented by eliminating kerosene use in 1 household

**1 L of Kerosene release estimate of 2,5 kilogram CO2

Case Study

Lighting Up Sodana Village with Solar Power

In 2024, 50 families in Sodana gained access to clean, reliable electricity through solar kits—moving away from kerosene and toward safer, brighter nights.

Financial Contribution Model

The project is funded through a shared financial model, combining village resources and private sector support. Approximately 30% of the project budget comes from village funds (Dana Desa), which demonstrates the community’s commitment to the project. The remaining 70% is covered by external funding such as CSR and Grant.

Where We're Headed

In the next phase, 7–10 more villages across NTT will gain access to the Light It Up solution. With every installation, we’re not only powering homes, but igniting opportunities.

It started in Sodana. Next, your impact could reach another village in NTT.
